AdaptAbility - The ability to adapt to changing conditions effectively, quickly and responsibility. It is not simply about responding to what is, it includes a level of creative solution finding, so if something comes up that has no obvious solution, you find one, adapting to the changing conditions through innovation.
Creative Community Entrepreneurism - This is about learning to look at all resources in any given community in a new light, in new combinations that are about potential. it includes sustainability and conservation, and then takes it to the next level of what else could be done with this if we thought clear outside the box? It is about learning to see the community and all its parts as integral to the whole. And learning to work respect the deconstructive cycle and built it into the resoucing of the constructive cycle is the goal…so the holism works. And it is about being enterprising and industrious - innovating outside the norm in teams, or pods of appropriate people when the time is correct. Collaborating and sharing of resources and saving certain costs can be a big deal - and can even lead to all new ideas and solutions.
Life-Enhancing: That which nourishes and supports the vitality of all life, including the life of the earth itself, and accepts our natural composing and decomposing processes.
Life-Enhancing Business: A business or business practice that nourishes and supports the vitality of all life, and strives to produce win-win-win results such that the company, the community and the planet all win. It would aspire to take actions that are restorative or regenerative whenever possible.
Restorative or Regenerative Business: A business that is thinking beyond sustainable to being life-enhancing, restorative, or regenerative in nature. The desire is ultimately to create a company that is not a depleting liability to the earth or to the people in any way, but instead becomes an appreciating asset that contributes to long-term vitality.
Win-Win-Win: A philosophical standard where the desired result is that “I, We, and We All” win - including the earth itself - to the best of our capacity given the current conditions.
With a Win-Win-Win philosophy, there is a conscious choice to include the 3rd party, the collective living world. This reminds us to include a discussion of our ripple effect on the world around us. The result is that we take more sensible and compassionate leadership action.
