My dreams are coming true! It is New Years, 2009 and I can’t wait any longer to share some of the best news I have: The gelling and pre-launch of UnitingCreatives.com which is in beta testing and development.

UnitingCreatives.com is a community entrepreneurship project that consolidates everything I have been striving for into one voice, one location, one call to action: “Let’s team up in public as collaborative entrepreneurs using life-enhancing business practices to change our future, our world on purpose!”

I am celebrating, because 15 years ago, I was in despair about the ’state of the world’. So I embarked on a quest to figure out how the independent person (me) could change the world in my lifetime. It took until now to find the pathway, and now we are building the bridge for productive change. Vision, plus consistent effort over time, does become reality!

Web 2.0 makes it possible for us independents to share our knowledge and wisdom as leaders in our field. We can now team up in all new ways to share resources for collective benefit.

UnitingCreatives.com is in beta test mode. If you are a perfectionist, either don’t go there yet, or get over it. You don’t need to get your tail in a knot that it isn’t pretty. We know it isn’t spit shined and polished with pretty graphics, and all parts don’t quite work, and not all sections are filled in. That is part of the process of blazing trails. It’s messy.

But I can’t wait any longer to share it with the rest of you who are willing to trailblaze and pioneer with us. You are the ones who can help us bring it alive to maximize its potential!

For this site is about you and sharing your dreams of a better tomorrow. It is about you being on the leading edge, able to contribute your gifts to the world in a way that works to support you and all of us - fast and now!

This site is about uniting you. You, the people - the enterprising, courageous, capable independents who are so maverickish, big-hearted and strong willed - together into an industrious market force striving to champion the world!

It is about uniting you through the heart, as a ’self-determining, compassionate collective’ into an intentional community of solution seeking teammates willing to do what it takes to make a difference for our children, our communities and our planet.

Be one of the first to know. Be an early adopter, a trailblazer. Become an expert with collaborative entrepreneuring. Be an opinion leader.

Sign in now - become a member - it is free right now!

Go to Profile and register. Start commenting on things already in the site, and start sharing your wisdom and good news. Of course, do not be afraid of telling us what isn’t working, but don’t expect instant fixes. It takes time to work the bugs out and troubleshoot.

As we learn how people think and write, we will be posting some guidelines, expanding membership profiles, developing the marketplace and more.

Check it out now, then watch it change and grow. Especially read about the team of people we have working on it in the About Section. Have fun…we’ll see you on the road of change!

Joy

Just read an article in the Bellingham Herald: This young inventor, Gavin McWhyte, just built his own battery run motorcycle - from a junked 1983 Suzuki. He did it with a Crescent Wrench, a crimper and a wire cutter, and I did it all in my backyard.

He said, “If anything says that we aren’t dependent on big corporations…this that some kid with no training can build this in his backyard with no tools.” He added, “I’m still in control of how I live my life. People think they are helpless. It they don’t own a corporation and a factory and a million employees they can’t get something done, and that’s not true. Anything is possible.”

Article continues: “The bike is virtually silent and runs on four 12-volt batteries that MacWhyte can plug into any outlet to charge. On one charge he estimates he can go about 100 miles, running smoothly at top speed of about 45 mph - both of which would improve if he ran the bike on 6 batteries.”

Creativity, innovation and perseverence! Way to go!

I have a great story. It’s inspiring. Often the ’story’ stops with the hero - or focuses on the drama and what is not working. This one is different.

I want to delve deeper into this story. I want to share what happened over time that the hero thought, acted, and then inspired others to join in.

I just read an article that caught my eye…about how (Whatcom County) Teen Court Tops Decade of Helping Youths in Trouble.

And I realized that a friend of mine, Chuck Snyder, started it way back in 1998. Today the effect of one man’s brainchild has caused a profound ripple effect on the lives of many teens, our community, and the ripple effect has snowballed. And the wave is still compounding with other movements. I see that a tipping point was reached with the launching of the National Association of Youth Courts in 2007.

Chuck is now a Superior Court Judge, and what he said about the program last night is that “I’m only one person in the process. It is really the kids who participate in the program who make the difference for themselves and for the others they work with. And,Teen Court is one of a number of innovations in juvenile justice that are designed to have an impact on kids early, before they get into deeper trouble. And it works.”

Did he do it all? No. He took action and followed through, then others acted, and then change occurred over time. Look what happened the he happened to think differently. An exerpt from the article reads:

“Administered through Northwest Youth Services, Teen Court is now in its 11th year. The first teen court in [Washington] the state, it began as a pilot program in 1998 and has inspired the creation of more than a dozen similar ventures in Washington,” said Beaty, its longtime coordinator.

The program’s nearly $65,000 budget is covered by a mix of local tax money, United Way support, and help from local attorneys and civic groups. Considering that it costs nearly $4,000 to hold a teen in juvenile detention for a month, nudging minor offenders back onto the straight and narrow can be a money-saver.

About 36 young defendants go through Teen Court each year, which mirrors the fall-through-spring school year.

More than 160 student volunteers participated last year, plus 14 adult attorneys who helped as mentors or fill-in judges. This year, teens from 12 high schools in the county are volunteering, up from 11 last year.”

Here is the point, and I think it is significant. It started with one guy who had an idea and acted on it to enroll others. That guy was Chuck Snyder, my friend, who was a Whatcom County Superior Court Commissioner back in 1998. He told me that he’d read an article about a type of youth court program in Texas. He decided to launch one here in Bellingham, and he took it to a new level with a full-fledged ‘in the courtroom’ type of program with teen juries, teen judges, etc.

Today his brainchild has become a model for others. It is what that article is talking about…it has spawned over a dozen programs they said. Now think about the ripple affect:

Lives Changed: Over 11 years hundreds of teens have had an alternative to the old court system. That means thousands of lives have been changed for the better through this program - just in my county. Dozens of other startups have rippled out. And every change in a family ripples out through the extended family, and it can have generational impacts.

Multi-fold Economic Savings: I am not an economic genius, but the implications I would guess are in the hundreds of thousands of dollars redirected potentially every year, times many years and multiple new programs. Compound impact? I don’t know - but it is significant.

Community Collaboration: Notice that the funding this is not about just the government saving us, or a bunch of victim thinkers. This is all about proactivity. It is a combination of public, private, tax, civic, and entrepreneurial contributions. The money is cross discipline, the volunteers come from all walks of life, the support is cross cultural. The result is institutional change. Wow!

How cool is that? It is a win-win-win. Years ago, this wasn’t the story. Today it is…and our community is better for it. Someone had an idea and acted on it. Someone wrote about it. Someone read it, had another idea and acted on it. Others joined in and it got built up over time. Now we see a national organization growing, and the potential ripple effect on society over time is huge.

Congratulations Chuck, and to every other person, teen and adult, who participated, learned, grew and strove to make a difference in the lives of real people right now. The world is a better place because of you. That worked and is still working. You put your heart, hands and brains where it mattered. Thank you from me and from our community. You make me proud to be a human.

Seasons Cheer: It is fun to see the emergence of heart and more authentic messages around the business world. I want to recommend that you all check out http://www.spiritualcinemacircle.com/ and specifically this video clip on learning the power of the smile and validation of others. I think at this time of year it is especially useful simply because many people in our world are dealing with fewer sun days and more cold temperatures.

Therefore, we need more heartwarming from person to person. I don’t know about you but I have experienced the frigid coldness of people when we do not smile, and when they smile the sun comes out in our hearts. In fact, just smiling for a certain amount of seconds will change the endorphins in your brain and will change your attitude, and therefore your effect on everyone and everything around you. Smiling is infectious, and you never know who’s life you have changed.

I realized today that one of the greatest resources we have right now is the power of the people…as in the little people. The entrepreneurs and cultural creative folks. Lots of little guys united can be stronger and pack more punch than a big guy alone.

We saw this happen with the elections. I was talking with a pollitical strategist who realized that she misjudged the power of social marketing in the last campaign, and it cost her client. It made others far stronger - because they tapped into the power of the people.

As independents we can learn leadership and teamwork, and as we learn to organize, we will begin to carry more weight. Watch for news of a business leadership conference that I am putting together with a couple colleagues. We are booking it for March 6-8 so put it on your calendar as a Leadership Symposium, so you can save the space! More details will be forthcoming!

Ever had challenges figuring out the real gift or opportunity in network marketing, or how to think about it? Maybe I can help. I feel that I have some fresh and unique viewpoints to offer from an inside out perspective on the industry.

In short, I believe in global restorative and regenerative business, and some of these companies are awesome and deserve to be talked about. While I do not recommend all the thousands of companies that are out there, I do have firsthand experience with certain products and companies. Since I have become a community entrepreneurial trainer I am not directly building these companies, but am linked to most of them through quality relationships. Here is a snapshot of my short list, then I will go into more detail below.

Simplexity Health - Exceptional health products that I raised my family on with outstanding results. This company has been a pioneer in providing essential nutrients through wild, regenerative, rejuvenating whole products such as bacteria, enzymes and algae in quality forms.
PrePaid Legal - The smartest thing in normal business for normal people that I know of. This is a bit like buying medical insurance or car insurance. It is a form of legal insurance plus a whole bunch of reassurance that you are doing the right thing in business and family matters. Things like wills, contracts, and stuff, and travelling across states dealing with different laws. Totally takes the stress of worry away. Wish I would have had it in my family and business survival tool kit years ago. Got it now. The link is through my son, Brian, at 360-927-9239 for more information. He’s young at it, so cut him some slack. He has a good upline string of support people.

Amazon Herb Company - First class bio-energetically rich health products from the Amazon Jungle with outstanding restorative and regenerative health properties. I have been there, seen it, and know this stuff is superb in what it does. I recommend talking with my long time friend Katie Lawson at 360-201-4097 at this point.

That is it for now, and I will have more for you shortly.

What is the greatest gift from network marketing?

Would you agree that the power of self-reliance is one of the greatest gifts we can pass on to our children, to our colleagues and our friends? Then there is another step beyond personal self-reliance - it is learning to be self-reliant in business. Then there is a great leap…learning to become self-reliant in a way that benefits, ripples out, and revitalizes our community.

Network marketing gave me the gift, the freedom to learn how to do all of this.

I am proud to have been a pioneer, leader, and consultant during one of the greatest independent entrepreneurial business explosions in history. Being on that leading edge taught me about adaptability, humanity, the nature of self-reliance, regeneration and the power of human connection. It taught me the freedom of self-determination, the power of choice and the safety and wisdom of community.

I have learned so much about the heart, soul, passion and power of people - and how our beliefs change our results. I have learned first hand about the inside, very human nature of our market economy. I have learned about the power of the dream and the desire that burns in everyone’s heart to be truly free and to become capable.

And to be able to provide that hope is a great gift from that industry model. As in any exceptional gift, some use it wisely with great appreciation, some do not understand it, and some waste it. I treasure it, and I respect it.

I have personally learned about inside out ethics, about what I call the Tripple Ripple Effect(TM) of seemingly insignificant decisions. Every decision does in fact affect us personally, in our families, in our communities, and impacts our planet. I do not believe I would have the same understanding had I not had an international downline and worked with people from all walks of life in business and in community. I have learned about the authentic nature of systemic community building and globalization.

As a result I am honored to be in a position to recommend certain network marketing companies from the broader picture, the 30,000′ level. I see how some companies, regardless of some of their less than perfect personal stories - offer exceptional value to the community, specifically because they have strived and fallen and had to rebuild again. They do it because they are heart driven, courage and people driven. They do it because what they are striving to do matters. And they do not give up.

They are in fact regenerative in nature - they believe in humans as a force for proactive change. The quality companies are striving to build character, strength, leadership, tolerance, compassion, capacity, humility and agility in their organizations. Some of these companies are working towards creating global sustainability and revitalization of our world and I love each of them for different reasons. I do not work with each of the companies, for my work today is different, but the ones I recommend I have personal experience with and feel good recommending personally in one way or another. In every case I honor their intention and desire to do good work.

I would like to offer you their bounty of gifts, and share what I see is the richest value they bring to the global community.

I just got interrupted, and so I will have to continue this in a bit.

I think that is a powerful statement. It came to me as a flash of summary insight this morning as I consolidated work from the past few days. Sometimes inspiration does that…it throws a single stand alone thought at you that matters, and becomes significant. This one matters.

One sentence, complete concept: ” One degree of adjustment today changes destiny tomorrow.”

Doug Banner and I were working on a project yesterday. He was illustrating that when we change our story, even one degree, it is enough to change the results you get. If something is not working, sometimes a one degree change in our perception or our awareness will transform a situation. Adding one clarifying question, or one discerning awareness is enough to provoke sometimes dramatic change.

Isn’t that awesome?

Then think about this: One tiny proactive adjustment a day adds up to 365 changes in a year, and that is a full revolution. Pretty significant. And, one deconstructive degree a day becomes a snowball effect the other way. You choose your degrees and the compound effect of them.

One degree off in an airplane heading will take you to an entirely new destination, and the longer you hold that one degree on or off course, the more significant that degree gets. Add another degree and more time and you could end up in another country or landing in the ocean rather than on land.

It’s funny, I was writing this morning on the significance of people who come through our lives. Often they think they do not matter, or that they were not appreciated for what they did, or that they were not heard. I feel that way sometimes. And maybe, in that moment it was true. And maybe not. Maybe the receiver was down, or the thought had to be added to another thought a week later, or maybe the person had no idea what to do to respond. Sometimes it takes time to filter into another. Often things that people say, do or contribute take time to be received. It is not in the moment always that the feedback comes.

I have had some people who said just one thing, and it changed my life forever. One word, one action, one gift. One offhand comment. It has sure happened a bunch with these projects I am doing. Lots of people, over time add up to one powerful learning curve…and the destiny is now totally different…and so is the destination.

This, right now, is a thank you for every single person who has ever interacted with me. You have changed my life…whether it is one degree or hundreds. You make life fun.

That was a question that hounded me for years when I was a little girl. I found myself caught in a paradox, a quandary to understand ‘the story of reality’ as different from ‘my real world observation of reality’.

I loved humans with a passion that was so deep it was almost unbearable - in spite of all that the ‘authorities’ said. I was taught all about the history of war by the institutions. I was told in church to not trust humans, they are evil - especially woman. People in suits would drive up our mountain road uninvited to tell us that the world was coming to an end because of humans. The newspapers and radio all shouted out at us about humans being bad…wars, murders, riots, assassinations, drugs, rapes. And when I looked at the chemicals we were using to kill all manner of bugs…gosh, there was destruction on many levels. Were these things true? Yes, but was the proportionality correct? No.

My personal experience of humans was of teamwork, collaboration, neighborhood grange hall dances, potlucks and fundraisers. People helping people. Sure, people would have arguments once in awhile, but what I saw on the farm, in the gym, in the fields was solid citizens, nice people. Virtually everywhere was good stuff.

Cowboys would work for hours to make sure a calf was safely born. People would drive miles out of their way to help somebody who was broke down. My friends parents would go out of their way and spend hours a week driving me to 4-H meetings - 9 to 15 miles each way, just because.

Today I know that the focus on bad news skews reality. Bad news is way out of proportion - it is at most 2% of the miserables. I think that humans over 98% of the time are doing loving things, kind things, building things, striving to achieve things that matter.

I believe that when we focus on the bad stuff, we attract more of that kind of thinking and results. When we focus on teamwork, sharing, good stuff…we create energy that increases the good stuff. Let’s focus on doing positive things, on finding solutions…and we will find them. We can inspire more people to do that which is useful. What we see is what we get more of.

I found that this works with kids. It works in training animals. It works in business. It works. Why not change the style or reporting the ’stories’. Let’s focus on what else is out there that is working even better. And when we hit a bad situation, start focusing on the heroes story that is inside the other story. It might be interesting to see what happens to our future.

Can we individually really change the world? How is that even physically possible? I am delighted to be able to share with the world this document: Roadmap to Conscious Social Change.

I have come to the conclusion that it is not only possible, it is our opportunity to consciously choose to make the difference that we can each make. Collectively, our actions will add up to create social change - it is a natural phenonmenon.

I am giving this diagram away free to inspire hope in our future. I would love to have as many people as possible read it and see how it is actually possible, so they can give up their fear and despair in favor of a desire to make the world a better place in our lifetime.

It reflects the conclusion that I have drawn how we can and do change the future anyway. I figure we might as well do it on purpose and with high intention and in collaboration with each other.

The left column shows the necessary evolution of the human species story from victim based historical story where we are separate from and subject to the world around us. Then we see how we can be one with our body-mind-spirit in harmony with the world around us. Then we move into actually assimilating and accepting that we are a living part of the universe and we have job descriptions and a contribution responsibility to give back to the whole living organism if we are to help the planet thrive so that the human species can thrive.

The center column is the physics and science of how we are one in fact with the world, and how this is relevant to global change.

The right hand column shows how I am personally contributing. You can add in another column on the far right about how you are contributing, and then still others to show how the expansion of collective intelligence compounds.

To get this into one page was a challenge. It is a summary of my life’s work and 15 years of deep research into everything from quantum physics to human potential training, from motherhood to basketball coaching, from community collaboration work to living foods and energy medicine. And it is grounded in solid common sense based on what I learned about how things actually worked in my experience on the farm, in nature.

I am available to give educational seminars, interactive strategic thinking or community development retreats or keynote speeches on this and how it applies to social change. I have developed the Biology of Influence philosophy that underscores it, and I can coach corporations or groups how to reorganize using a very simple natural change model.

We can choose to use our very powerful collective intelligence to make a difference on the planet…and I believe that we can create a healthy world for our children when we choose to team up and believe we can.

And I can help by coaching individual leaders or groups to understand the true ripple effect of their power of self-determination and how this is a contributing force for change in the universe. Call me at 360-647-2831 for coaching or date availability. Or you can e-mail me at gijoy@comcast.net.
