• I teach self-determination.  I love to inspire leaders, companies and conference audiences to think in all new ways about their abilities to make a difference. And I have developed a science, a model and methods to do all this.

This www.joythinks.com blog is about who I am as a creative thinker.  My inner self, my process of change.   This is not about my high polished public-face wisdom.  I am sharing my humanness - my thinking process, because it is fun to see the process of entrepreneuring, of change, of growth in the flesh.  I hope I am challenging my readers to think fresh, to think anew - a new thought.

I am a well trained professional presenter and interactive speaker.  I do keynotes and workshops custom designed to fit your pioneering need.  I am pioneering the emerging art of collaborative entrepreneuring and it is fun to inspire others to action.

I am a bloodhound, a pathfinder, a scout, and a front- end pioneer.  Actually a bleeding edge, nose scuffed, scabbed knuckles type entrepreneur (wish I had a better way to say this that was a bit more romantic or pretty, but there you have it.)  I do whatever it takes to figure out how to get from here to there, if there is where we want to be.

I have been very successful in business myself - both in private and civic arenas, as an entrepreneur and as executive staff.  I’ve been a leader, a mother, an instigator. I’ve held many jobs and positions of responsibility where I have innovated, build systems, solved problems.

I historically work for the community as a whole, gathering together disparate, ragtag and maverick teams to blaze trails that others can follow.  We do the mindmelding, the rough stuff, and once we figure things out, its easier for the builders to come in and build the roads and beautify the landscape so that others have fun going over the same ground.

The truth is, while I work today in todays world, I’m simultaneously sniffing stuff out in the ethers of creativity.  I look for disparities, anomalies, and eruptions of desire, trying to link like-kind disparate things together into some trend, pathway or movement to change the future.

I just do this.  The amazing thing is that I’ve been doing this all my life, and just realized it was a gift and a skill I could teach others.  A valuable gift of contribution to society, especially in this time of rapid and global change where every single institution, habit and pattern is being challenged to grow and evolve.

I’ve built rapid change models, new organizational and business management models that are based on linking the Body-Mind-Spirit way of thinking to personal achievement coaching, to natural change and community development.  It is a fresh combination, and challenges the brain to think fresh.

Scouting is a living, dynamic process of listening for the desire, not the past.  It is about gathering knowledge using multiple intelligences, multiple sensory inputs, multiple everything.

You learn to develop, to grow, to sniff out stuff virtually intuitively…but with a high degree of awareness of what is physical, tangible and known.  Why?  So you can get from point A to point B safely and leave some mile markers and clues along the way.   Then you have to go back and blaze a trail others can figure out.  It is about integrating the known and the unknown into a sequence that works.

I have learned how to teach entrepreneurial collaboration and leadership as a teacher of teachers.  I mentor  mavericks to produce results using teamwork and visionary skills.

So, I built the UnitingCreatives.com as a tool for entrepreneurial collaboration.  It is my latest achievement.  My goal was to create a collaborative community entrepreneurship project that brings the best of people together.  A place where creative leaders of all disciplines can share their best resources and wisdom to help our human world transcend the challenges we have created on the planet.

UnitingCreatives.com consolidates everything I have been striving for into one voice, one location, one call to action:  “Let’s team up in public as collaborative entrepreneurs using life-enhancing business practices to change our future, our world on purpose!”

I am celebrating, because 15 years ago, I was in despair about the ’state of the world’.  So I embarked on a quest to figure out how the independent person (me) could change the world in my lifetime.  It took until now to find the pathway, and now we are building the bridge for productive change. Vision, plus consistent effort over time, does become reality!
